Day 1: Arrive in Cinque Terre
which is part of the Italian Riviera ...And rest your
jet-lagged body as you admire the magnificent vistas from your hilltop B&B.

Later- Catch a sunset dinner in Vernazza followed by gilato and a
good night's sleep!

Day 2: Explore the 5 "traffic free"Cinque Terre
Villages.
|

----Village Hop or Snooze--It is your Choice! You can village
hop by foot, or by train or boat. Or if you prefer, just hang out on the

Day 3: Off to Romantic Venice!

Day 5: Island Venice anyone before we
depart for Florence?! Visit once of the many islands in
the Lagoon. Choices today are sleepy

for its glass factories and the Museo Vetrario with its 700 yr. old glass.

Off to Arty Florence! You will arrive in time to take
an orientation Renaissance Walk and visit with "David" before dinner.
Day 6: Food, Wine & Olive Oil:
A Tuscan winery as well as a 1400 year old villa is your destination
today. Here you will learn about food, wine and olive oil with all your senses!
Bring your Apron because we are going to learn how to prepare homemade
ravioli and tagliatelle, from scratch.

scenery plus get a close look at her grapes.

Day 7: Art filled Florence

--Start your Renaissance treasure hunt today with the
Uffizi
Gallery, then continue exploring the important
sights of Florence.

Day 7 Afternoon

Then its off Pisa and then Siena for the
afternoon and dinner.
|
The 12th century Leaning Tower of Pisa --has been leaning even
before its completion. You will also have an opportunity to check out the
huge Pisan Romanesque church with its carved pulpit by Giovanni Pisano.

A Sunset Stroll along the Arno River is always a favorite way
to end a day in Florence.

Day 8: Now you Tip Toe into Umbria as
we head to Orvieto & Civita
|
Orvieto--
|
|
Orvieto is perched on a magnificent volcanic pedestal --a 1066
ft, sheer-cliffed mesa. Orvieto is one of the 12 cities of the Etruscan
confederation. Today we will lunch in the shadow of her dazzling 13th
century Cathedral before admiring her spectacular interior.
And if we have timed things right, we should be hitting "Market Day"
in Orvieto.

Then its off through the pines and olive groves to Civita by local
bus!
|
|
Civita--we
saved the best hilltown for last! We should
be in condition, by now, for the "pedestrian only" access to this
Umbrian jewel.
|
|
|
Day 9: We will explore Civita in the
morning, then it is off to Rome in the afternoon. Just 1
and a half hours away!
|
|
We'll spend the morning exploring our sleepy homebase
hilltown and marvel at it's well preserved antiquity which reaches back to
Etruscan times.

Day 10: Heart of Rome + Museums and
Markets Your first stop-- the eloquent Pantheon.
Next - the Roman Forum then the Capital Hill. Lots to explore
in these areas! The afternoon is yours to Market or Museum hop.

Day 12: Tour Over and You Made IT!
Your tour is officially over at noon -- giving you time to do some
last minute sight seeing or shopping. Your Rome Museum Pass is good
for 2 more days if you want to hang in a little longer on your
own. Rome's airport is less than an hour away by train
and Milan's airports are aproximately 6 train + bus hours away. Your
guide will help you with any post-tour planning, leaving you well prepared
for the road ahead.
