How to Sign-up For TERC Tour
- Read What Makes Our Tours Exceptionally Unique—especially the warnings about hundreds of steep stairs, lots of walking, plus our one-bag limit, and "no grouch" policy. - Fill out tour sign up forms and mail to TERC with deposit check of $250. per person per/tour to hold your space(s). (US currency only please. Sorry, we cannot accept credit cards for tour payments). The deposit is 100% refundable for any reason up to 14 days after we receive it (as long as we receive it more than 60 days prior to departure) Please make checks payable to Travel Europe Resource Center (TERC)
- We will send you a confirmation packet which will include a letter of receipt of your tour deposit, confirmation of your date(s) your tour handbook explaining the details about your tour, plus important forms we need signed and returned.
- Get or check your passport. If you have one, make sure it is valid for 6 months beyond the end of the tour. If you don't have one, APPLY NOW. The closer it gets to summer the longer it takes. Some larger post offices have applications. For details on how and where to apply, go to the State Department's informative Web site at http://travel.state.gov/passport_services.html. or check TERC's Passport page.
- Decide what you want to do before and after the tour. TERC can help you with this. Start with selecting the cities you want to fly to and from and lock in your flight dates. Remember, you lose at least 1 day flying to Europe so you need to leave home at least one calendar day before Day 1 of your tour (if possible, give yourself an extra day to get over jet-lag). Call your travel agent and book your flight—ideally three to four months in advance, since the cheap seats fill quickly and fares generally go up as summer approaches.
- Attend a TERC Travel Class or read Europe Through the Back Door and borrow Tour related Videos.
- Your tour balance is due 60 days prior to your tour's departure date.
- Sixty days before your tour begins, (once your final payment is received) we'll send your moneybelt, Phrase Book, and final tour information packet.
- Two weeks before departure TERC will send you final list of tour accommodations.
- Go to the airport, fly to Europe, and have the time of your life!
